Why a hackathon for Salesforce developers?

 

The short answer is, getting more people to develop on this great platform!

Salesforce has been #1 CRM SaaS for many years, and increasingly becoming the dominant platform for many enterprise applications. However, Salesforce sometimes isn't at the top of the list for many people seekig a developer career. Consider these two questions.

Can we present an existing project as part of the Hackathon?

 

Its difficult to build anything in less than 12 hours, but the main idea behind hackathon on Salesforce Platform is the speed with which you can build apps. So ideally we would request to build something new on the day. You can use any components or modules from your existing projects though.

Which position has higher average Salary and is the most popular in job market today? Java Developer or Salesforce Developer?

 

Salesforce Developer. According to indeed.com, a major job data site, the average salary for Salesforce Developer is $109,144 in the last 12 months in the US, versus $102,174 for Java Developer.

What if I don't have a team?

 

If you registered as an individual and do not yet have a team, don’t sweat it. There will be several events geared towards facilitating team formation and project ideation. We will help you find people to work with!

Which company is placed #1 on Forbes Most Innovative Companies List the most? Is it Amazon, Google, Tesla, or Facebook?

 

None of them. It's actually Salesforce, which was placed #1 in the ranking for 6 out of the last 7 years.

Will food be served?

 

We will provide all meals on the hackathon day (plus snacks available at any time of the day or night!). If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
